Manifestation of a field derived from Velux skylights on site at Hunter, New York. The changes in the units are based on the solar orientations per time of day, as well as the potential for elevational changes of the site to be seen within roof-scape itself.
The plan below shows directionality of units within the system. Dark shaded areas represent gutter systems for drainage, such that units between drains can be seen as continuous strands.
There begins to be a greater degree of fine-tuning within the frame of the skylight itself, seen in the model below. This smaller frame can rotate according to altitudes of the sun at a particular time of day.
