Capturing Light: Structure and Environment

The system of units continues to develop to compliment light and air. Rotation of units occurs by necessity of sunlight conditions, while overall structure responds to site, drainage, and airflow. Above diagram talks about the kit of parts that are being used to create the roof-scape, as well as a look at how sunlight will enter the space.

The diagram below shows assembly of structure and skylight units within a strand of the roof scape. Between these strands occurs a main structural beam and drainage system noted as dark strips in plan below.

This plan starts to look at potential airflow out of skylights show as red arrows.
