Space through Phenomena

.00 Site Intensity/Density Model

Sea Breeze Transposition interaction

The project consists of analyzing and interpreting various phenomenas within the context of our site, located on North 7th and Kent in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The idea is to develop a 4D model in Rhino using points and vectors that depicts what happens and what interactions occurs between these phenomena.

Site Intensity Density:

.0 Sea Breeze Transposition

Land Breeze Transposition interaction

.0 Land Breeze Transposition

Prevailing wind transposition interaction

.0 Prevailing Wind Transposition

Prevailing wind cohesive compression and deflected ejection interaction

.0 Prevailing Wind Cohesive compression and deflected ejection

The analysis process was more-so on the interpretive and theoretical aspect rather than focusing on scientific accuracy. The phenomenas chosen in this project is Sea breezes, land breezes and prevailing winds. After creating various models, all varying in intensity of each phenomena, one was chosen that includes the most interactions. The three interactions that occur in this model were: cohesive compression, transposition, and deflected ejection.

Currently, the project is heading towards abstracting these interactions into paper model form that would inherit the behaviors and operations of these interactions, and ultimately developing spatial qualities.
