Section Detail of Velux VSE 601
This section detail begins to describe the construction of the shear wall/truss system that includes the Velux VSE 601. The truss is framed by 3.5″ X 14″ glu-lam members braced by custom steel plates. The interior members of the system are comprised of dimension lumber 2×8’s. From the interior, a rhythm of wood and dry wall will be clearly visible from the articulated structure, while from the exterior the whole system will be clad in angular standing seam sheets of zinc.
