Through analysis of the Lopha Cristagalli shell, three characteristics were extracted that considered self-intersection, skin/shell relationships, and skeletal vs. skin hybrid relationships. Looking at the shell through both a temporal and a physical scope, these three concepts carry through to initiate the conceptual beginnings of the aquatic center.
