SITE.
The site analysis revealed inefficiencies and opportunities within the current parking and traffic structure of the area in immediate proximity of our building. My proposal uses my site data as support for the removal of a section of Lafayette Ave. to allow for a communal green space. Recent personal events have left me with a great interest in communal hubs and places of social exchange. The new open area has the potential for large-scale public events staging, recreation, and community interaction, all a result of the library project.
More on the innards and workings of the building later. The large scale concepts are being ironed out first in order to decrease the scope of concern for the project as a whole.
