skin: a threshold
skin is not a facade. skin is only a means of tempering two environments.
A skin that can penetrate into the interior. What can this offer? Qualitities of performance include the seperation of programatic areas based on the amount of dynamic/static action taking place in a zone. Typical to dynamic programmatic use is the element of sound resination. I propose that the skin can begin to contain the noise to specific areas and to block it from entering others.
