Update of the developments of an interior wall system that tunes to movement of air and captures light of the sun. This allows the house to breathe, letting the outside environment invade the home. read more
For an extension of the roof-scape into the program of a house, we started looking at sun conditions within that space. These started to dictate the programmatic needs of the space. In order to allow the building to breathe, we began punching through the roof to create inner courtyards that will allow for the movement of air through the spaces. read more

These drawings show the assembly and use of Velux skylights in a field. Layers of structure, skin and skylight work together to produce the overall roof-scape which is fine tuned to the movements of the sun. read more
This diagram shows plan of the roof-scape on site in relation to angles of the sun. These angles inform not only the positioning of the overall unit and the skylight unit, but start to appear on the interior finishes of the roof itself. The following images and drawings show how the rays of light extend through the skylight. read more

What does the future hold for the home? Current suburban manifestations of the ‘dream’ home are lacking. We are developing a system composed of light and air, grown out of a roof-scape, which will challenge the current ideas of the suburban dream. read more
