A three-bayed tension system was finalized using a double layered flexible skin system pulled between tension cables underneath and rigid compression arches above. Adapical Prosocline Suture_A joint between the internal and peripheral axis lines that redefine an area that is able transforms periodically according to its change in pressures.

Manipulating the roofs curvature helps define two programmatic spaces that lay between the central core and the peripheral axis.

The roof is being transformed in its section in order to accommodate for the different programmatic functions. As the module responds to the curvature it opens or closes up. This is manipulated to achieve the desired condition. read more

Latitudinal section through the ground level Olympic Swimming Pool, raised Press Accommodations and underground Administration Offices. Roof spans create chambers that act both as structure as well as spaces to accommodate water collection, wind harvesting and natural lighting.
